Getting to Auckland by cruise ship

Admire the many islands of the Hauraki Gulf and sail through the sparkling Waitemata Harbour before disembarking in central Auckland.

Auckland’s popularity as a cruise destination continues to grow rapidly with a large number of cruise liners visiting each year. As well as being a stopover point, Auckland is also a key exchange port meaning that many cruises start and finish here. Auckland is also the host of New Zealand’s only winter cruise season.

Auckland's port

Cruise ships dock at wharves located at the water's edge of downtown Auckland. Be greeted by taxi and tour services as well as brochure stands filled with Auckland information. Pick up a copy of The Auckland Guide and head along to the i-SITE Visitor Centre at Princes Wharf, just a few minutes' walk from your cruise ship where you will receive help to plan your visit.
