Māori Economic Growth Forum

This annual event is an opportunity for iwi representatives, business leaders and Māori SME owners to come together to share ideas and forge relationships.

The forum aims to:

  • facilitate connections and partnerships to support and develop Māori economic growth, including employment pathways
  • establish action plans that will identify resource and capability needs
  • develop strong and more proactive working relationships with iwi leaders, trustees and Māori-owned SMEs.

Attendees at the first forum expressed a strong interest in workshops on capability training and increasing skills. Regular ICT workshops at GridAKL innovation hub are open to secondary school students, particularly those who have been through the Young Enterprise Scheme.

Other opportunities for Māori SMEs
