Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) organises or supports the following networking opportunities.

Business Excellence Network hosts a breakfast and guest speaker every second month in the north of Auckland, attracting more than 170 business owners and senior business people.

West Auckland Business Club has been running since 1986 and is managed by ATEED. The club has 2000 members and is free to join. Events include Business After 5, business forum events and an annual showcase. We donate any funds generated from events to local community groups.

Business Owners Forum is an invitation-only session held every two months and designed for small and medium sized businesses. Each session covers a different topic aimed at boosting your business prospects and overcoming hurdles to success.

Techapuna High-tech Entrepreneurs Club welcomes people working in ICT in Takapuna, from business owners to contractors. The group meets monthly. Takapuna is a pivotal part of Auckland’s innovation corridor and Techapuna aims to attract more high-tech businesses. The initiative is backed by ATEED, Takapuna Beach Business Association and successful local companies Unleashed Software and Booktrack.

Information technology export clusters (iTEC) clusters are coordinated by ATEED’s north hub for businesses located in Albany and Rosedale. The clusters facilitate meetings of about 10 companies with the goal of sharing business intelligence to help develop their export markets.

Your local business association or business improvement district

Most urban hubs and town centres of Auckland have a business association or business improvement districts (BIDs) representing more than 25,000 businesses across the Auckland region. Many business associations and BIDs have their own set of services, publications and events where you can make connections and access business support.
