Three new ICT graduate schools are to be created – one each in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. This Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) initiative intends to connect tertiary education and industry to deliver more of the ICT skills New Zealand needs.
It is an excellent opportunity for companies to influence New Zealand’s future ICT talent, and for students and institutions to work with some of our most creative firms as they build their skills and knowledge.
Six tertiary institutes have been shortlisted to operate the schools. ATEED is working with the Auckland bidders to assist them in connecting with businesses and the GridAKL innovation precinct.
