Several government agencies provide valuable information for start-ups. For general business purposes, business.govt.nz is comprehensive and includes templates for business plans and a guide to business structures. The site is provided by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). You can also check that the name of the business, URL and trademark you have in mind are available.
If you want to take a further step and grow you should consider support from a business incubator, such as The ICEHOUSE or E-Centre and innovation hub such as GridAKL. For a full list of incubators, view the Innovation Council’s list of incubators here.
