For some time outdoors relax at nearby Eastern or Buckland’s Beach. Both are great spots to enjoy fish and chips, or an ice cream and watch the action of the water. Golfers can enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf while enjoying a round of golf at the Howick Golf Club.
Jump onboard a ferry at downtown Auckland and cruise to Pine Harbour for a relaxing day out. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the cafes or a picnic in the landscaped gardens, take a stroll around the marina, or swim at a sheltered beach.
Alternatively, head to Pine Harbour by car. On Saturday mornings Pine Harbour Fresh Market is a great place to fill a gourmet picnic basket to take with you as you explore the picturesque Pohutukawa Coast. Named after the beautiful flowering trees fringing its shoreline, the Pohutukawa Coast includes the seaside villages of Beachlands and Maraetai and regional parks at Duders Beach and Omana. All along the drive there are gorgeous views of Waiheke, Ponui and Pakihi islands in the Hauraki Gulf.
