With more than 50 islands, there is a lot to be discovered in the Hauraki Gulf. Enjoy a five night, six day cruise on the gulf aboard the luxurious Island Passage. For $315 per person per night, this includes all meals including the captain’s dinner, use of the tender boats and fishing equipment. This per night price is for a minimum of five nights.
Island Escape Cruises
Step aboard Island Passage, a new stylish cruise ship that sleeps up to 22 passengers and enjoy an intimate and leisurely holiday cruising the Hauraki Gulf.
Cruise to remote areas within the Gulf and enjoy stunning beaches and coves. Take a fishing trip from the onboard tender boats or picnic ashore. Bush walks and expeditions from the ship by helicopter or boat are all daily activities. Passengers can choose to relax in the library or laze on a deck chair in the sun.
Evenings are a highlight with sunset cocktails, white linen dining, personal service and Pacific cuisine by the onboard chef.
The ship has ten spacious, air-conditioned cabins with rich timber paneling and private en-suites. Each cabin is fitted with video, audio and televisions.
'Island Passage' departs weekly on its 'Great Escape 6 day/5 night' cruise from Princes Wharf, downtown Auckland, departing every Sunday afternoon and returning Friday midday. All meals are included. Overnight excursions are possible with the use of helicopter taking passengers directly to the ship at an extra cost. Please note: the Island passage will be unavailable from June – August 2007.

These rates are only available through a Tourism Auckland i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, 0800 AUCKLAND or via www.aucklandnz.com. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. The Ezy Rental’s car is $25 per day for the Ezy compact car with a minimum one day rental. Excludes petrol and excess insurance. Drivers must be 18 years or over and hold a valid driver’s licence. Shark Survival participants must be 15 years or over and Stingray Splash participants must be a minimum of 1.3 metres high. The Auckland Superpass must be used four weeks from when first ticketed. All half price offers are only valid when a full price adult ticket has been purchased. Island Escape Cruises is unavailable during June, July and August.
