There are few people in the world who have had the opportunity to receive a hug from a real, 200 kilogram stingray. Now you can at Kelly Tarlton's Stingray Bay.
Stingray Splash is a new activity on offer at Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World. Visitors can now get into the water and experience first-hand the friendliness and personalities of each stingray.
Starting with a DVD describing interesting facts about stingrays, participants are then fitted with full-body wetsuits before entering the tank with a staff member. Don’t forget your togs and towel.

Experience the thrill of coming face to face with sharks, the most feared creatures of the deep...Your thrilling underwater guided tour will bring you up face to face with the Bronze Whaler Shark, Sevengill and Wobbegong sharks, giant stingrays and a variety of other fish. Fully qualified instructors will ensure that your dive is a never to be forgotten experience - whether you are a first time diver or a certified diver!
As a non-diver you will have a full day at Kelly Tarlton's starting with a Discover Scuba introductory lesson to teach you the basics to enable you to dive with the sharks with no protective caging on your first ever dive! Not only that, but your Discover Scuba lesson provides you with a recognised certificate that counts towards the international PADI Dive Certificate. With small groups of up to three per dive, instructors will ensure that you are in safe hands at all times and guide you through the crystal clear waters of the shark's lair. Don’t forget your togs and towel.

Passengers are able to join the crew and participate in the sailing of these magnificent yachts. Auckland's Dolphin and Whale Safari
Discover the hidden wonders of the Hauraki Gulf with Auckland's Dolphin and Whale Safari. This eco-adventure is a great way to interact with these amazing mammals.
Auckland's Hauraki Gulf is considered to be one of the most biologically and geographically diverse marine parks in the world. Twenty-two species of dolphins and whales have been seen in the Hauraki Gulf, providing an ideal location to view these mammals in their natural habitat. Species regularly seen include common and bottlenose dolphins, brydes whales and orca.
As a bonus, Auckland's Dolphin and Whale Safari is permitted by the Department of Conservation to allow passengers to swim with dolphins - a rare privilege available under certain conditions.

The Ezy Rental’s car is $25 per day for the Ezy compact car with a minimum one day rental. Excludes petrol and excess insurance. Drivers must be 18 years or over and hold a valid driver’s licence. Shark Survival participants must be 15 years or over and Stingray Splash participants must be a minimum of 1.3 metres high. The Auckland Superpass must be used four weeks from when first ticketed. All half price offers are only valid when a full price adult ticket has been purchased. Island Escape Cruises is unavailable during June, July and August.
