Mangere Mountain
Auckland's cultural precinct is an area rich in history and natural beauty. Te Pane o Matoho (Mangere Mountain) looks over the Mangere Ihumatao foreshore, stretching from Ambury Park, a 123-hectare working farm to the Otuataua Stonefields, an internationally significant cultural, historic and archaeological site, created 20,000 years ago by volcanic eruptions.
Te Whare Akoranga o Te Pane o Mataoho (the Mangere Mountain Education Centre) provides a place of learning for all people and is a great place to start your journey.
