Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki

Built in 1888, the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki is the largest art institution in New Zealand, housing a collection of more than 12,500 works. Some of the works date back to 1376.  View early portraits of Maori and early New Zealand landscapes, alongside contemporary New Zealand art.

The main gallery is now closed for development. Exhibitions and events continue at the New Gallery. Works from the collection are on show in the ground floor collection displays. Upstairs special exhibitions will feature works by prominent New Zealand and international artists.
