An integrated Roman Catholic secondary school for boys.
St Peter’s College was established in 1939 by the then Catholic Bishop of Auckland, James M Liston for the Roman Catholic Community of the Diocese of Auckland which promotes and supports the College and of which the College is part.
Located centrally in Epsom near the shopping district of Newmarket, it is adequately served by public transport.
St Peter’s prepares all students for tertiary education, and the College offers the University of Cambridge International Examination at Level 11, 12 and 13, as well as NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3.
The School is equipped with an International Centre, which helps arrange banking, visas, travel, medical insurance and other day to day needs of the students. The International Centre caters for students from many parts of the world with very little English. Extensive ESOL courses at all levels are taught by specialist teachers. Several full time teachers are dedicated to assisting international students with their English.
As St Peter’s is an integrated Catholic secondary school for boys, we educate the whole person in an environment of Christian love and service. Boys are educated in the Catholic Faith and each boy is challenged to achieve his full potential in all academic, cultural, sporting, social and religious activities.
