AWI - International Education Group is one of the most respected private institutions in New Zealand. The institution provides high quality education for international students in the following areas: Management, Business, IT, Early Childhood Education, General and Academic English.
In 2010 AWI has joined with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT), a government owned and funded Polytechnic with over 100 years of existence, becoming the first Private Institution to offer a Public Degree.

Professional Teaching Staff
All of AWI lecturers and tutors hold high-level qualifications in the subjects they teach, and many have personal experience in business and industry. They also have qualifications in teaching that enable them to practice best teaching methods to meet the need of individual students.

Pathways
For those students who wish to further their studies, most qualifications gained at AWI International Education Group can lead to entry into further education either at AWI or in Polytechnics or Universities. For example, with further study it is possible to complete a NMIT Bachelor of Commerce Degree at AWI Campus after gaining the New Zealand Diploma in Business with AWI or other institutions in New Zealand. Students who complete the Diploma in Information Technology Level 7 at AWI may gain cross credit into the last year of the Bachelor of Computing and Information Science at AUT.

Awareness of International Students’ Needs
AWI is a friendly place for students from overseas or who come from countries where English is not their main language. The Institute has many years of experience in meeting the needs of students from diverse range of countries in India, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Class sizes are small help meeting the international students’ needs.

Excellent Facilities
AWI International Education Group is located in a prime spot on Queen Street in the city centre. All facilities needed by students are located on campus. These include the library, computer laboratories, classrooms, lunchroom, game rooms and others. All computers have Internet access
