Bucklands Beach Intermediate is a large school that prides itself on its academic achievements. Located in an affluent suburb 13 kilometres east of Auckland’s CBD, it sits at the northern end of a peninsula surrounded by beaches.

The School is a two year, co-educational school catering for students Years 7 to 8 (aged 11 - 13 years) and has been recognised as a leading intermediate school in New Zealand with a strong focus on student learning. We aim to develop truly independent learners who gain an understanding that they can make a positive difference for their own future.

Over the years, Bucklands Beach Intermediate has celebrated successes both nationally and internationally, in a range of curriculum areas. The school prides itself on high achievements. Throughout the year, the School offers a range of choices for the students in academic, cultural and sporting areas. There are extension programmes, extra support programmes and after school classes.
