Glenfield College is located on the North Shore of Auckland city (population one million plus) within 15 minutes of the city centre, and 10 minutes from fine, sandy, clean beaches.

The College has a full range of academic courses in classrooms, laboratories, workshops, computer facilities, music, drama and art specialist rooms. There is one computer for every four students.

Examination results are consistently above the national average partly because of the small class size - the overall average class size throughout the school is 24.

The college has an international reputation in the Performing Arts and a new theatre has been built. College sports teams have established a proud record of successful sporting achievement.

The college has a Dean of International Students responsible for students’ welfare and also offers airport meeting and homestay services in the local community through the Homestay Co-ordinator.

The college has an English Language Centre on site in which Non English Speaking Background (NESB) students are tested, introduced to New Zealand culture and placed in appropriate ESOL classes, including IELTS, according to language ability.
