Glenfield Intermediate School was established in 1972 and has a special place in the Glenfield community.

At Glenfield Intermediate, we combine academic subjects with the arts, life skills and outdoor activities. We have flexible timetables that allow students to remain with one teacher for longer periods of time, and also differentiate the curriculum so students can work according to their ability.

We foster a sense of student participation and responsibility, and encourage both international and local students to work together and develop friendships.

The School also provides opportunities for involvement in extra curricular activities, and has an in-depth ESOL class and bilingual support system for the international students.
