The Institute of Applied Learning (IAL) caters to a diverse range of students from all ages (school leavers and up) to international students, and New Zealand’s own mix of cultures.

IAL mixes the academic components of its courses with NZ cultural experiences and other extracurricular activities. The Institute prides itself of its extensive pastoral cares systems intended to ensure that no student gets lost in the day-to-day running of the business.

Tutors and support staff are highly qualified, many with direct experience of their field in the real world. They know that they need to be prepared to help their students, even if it means taking extra time to show the students just how to do well in the assessments.

The facilities offered on IAL campuses (there are three – one in Auckland’s CBD and two in the Otahuhu suburb) are modern, well-equipped, have ample parking nearby and are close to public transportation corridors. All are near a wide variety of eating places and restaurants.

Qualifications are NZQA accredited.

As part of the New Zealand community, IAL maintains close working relationships with industry organisations, businesses and recruitment agencies. This helps the Institute stay abreast of the latest developments as well as helping place its graduates into work experience and employment opportunities.

For students who wish to go on to complete degrees, IAL has negotiated various Pathways with the Auckland University Of Technology (AUT), the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT), the Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS), and others including DCT (in Switzerland).
