Rangitoto College
An Affordable World-Class Educational Experience
International students enjoy the challenge of an excellent academic environment. They also benefit from a strong pastoral care network who help with any worries or concerns. An orientation programme on arrival helps students quickly settle into school life. They appreciate the numerous opportunities to play sport and music and to join in the many activities which make up Rangitoto College life.
Most Rangitoto students go on to university or other tertiary institutions.
Home-stay families are chosen carefully, are monitored by the school and live close by in large comfortable homes usually within walking distance to a local beach.
Our international students are proud of their school and benefit from their world class education experience.
The normal academic year runs from February to December in four 10 week terms. Intakes of International Students are taken in February, May, July and October.
Rangitoto College has some of the best facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. These include: modern classrooms, a library and information centre featuring senior study and reading rooms, computer access for all students, an auditorium, an Olympic standard all-weather hockey turf, three gymnasiums and a weights room, a purpose built Science block with laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Electronics, an English block featuring television and film studio and drama rooms, a music block with practice and performance space, an all-weather athletics track, ample sports fields for rugby, cricket, football and recreation and a large, modern swimming pool and sport institute on the schools boundary.
