Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum
Voyager tells the remarkable stories of New Zealand’s rich maritime heritage. From the first discovery by Kupe, to one of the most courageous migrations by the Polynesian peoples, to Abel Tasman and then Cook. Our spirit of exploration has been forged and the boundaries of possibility are broken. From this spirit has emerged many of the world’s greatest maritime pioneers. Voyager honours them and those people who sailed to the limits of their imagination.
Voyager is located in Auckland’s thriving Viaduct Harbour. We are open 364 days of the year, from 9am-5pm. Free guided tours depart at 10.30am & 1pm Monday–Friday, while you can ride the ocean waves aboard our sailing scow, Ted Ashby, Wednesday–Sunday – check website for sailing times.
