The Auckland Diwali Festival is being delivered differently this year and will now be held over three weeks at multiple venues across the Auckland region, replacing the usual two-day event in Aotea Square.

On Monday 31 August, following consultation with the Diwali Advisory Group (made up of representatives from Auckland’s Indian communities) it was agreed that it is best to plan and deliver a festival that can meet the guidelines of Alert Level 2 or higher.

Unfortunately, due to Alert Level 2 guidelines, stalls and performers will not be involved in the new-look festival.

We look forward to celebrating Auckland Diwali Festival with our stallholders and performers again in future.
