Please join us for a hands-on creative workshop exploring the ways in which communities use arts and crafts to resist injustice, torture and terrorising by state forces.
Camila from Chile will be teaching participants about a technique called Arpillera, a type of patchwork quilting born during the Pinochet dictatorship when a lot of women started sewing images of what they were experiencing.
Crafting materials and light refreshments provided.
Presented by Auckland Peace Action.
