The tech industry plays an important role in building tomorrow’s economy – an economy that is resilient, sustainable, and inclusive - and if the industry is to realise its potential, key challenges must be overcome including spatial concentrations, skills shortage and mismatches and lack of diversity.
From strategy to action
Tech Tamaki Makaurau will be delivered in partnership with industry and with ongoing collaboration across agencies. An industry advisory group will provide guidance for the action plan, ensuring that the action plan delivers opportunities and wellbeing outcomes for all communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.
The strategy will weave together strands of action that collectively drive towards its vision - action across Auckland Unlimited woven together and aligned with the great work being driven by various organisations, leaders, and change-makers across Tāmaki Makaurau.
Working in partnership with Māori and Pasifika leaders and organisations, in particular, will be critical to achieving the vision of an inclusive and more equitable future.
