Auckland’s Hotel Grand Windsor has scooped up yet another prestigious international accolade, winning the ‘Boutique Hotel of the Year 2019’ in the LUXLife Magazine Hotel & Spa Awards.

Published quarterly, LUXLife informs readers on all aspects of high-end lifestyle, including the finest food and drink, hotels and resorts, health and beauty, automotive, jewellery, art and technology from around the world.

Christopher Dickinson, General Manager at Hotel Grand Windsor, said the recognition from the UK’s most illustrious luxury publication is an honour that he and his team are very proud to receive.

“We strive to make sure each and every guest we welcome has an exceptional stay with us, so this award truly reflects our unwavering commitment to world-class, top quality, bespoke accommodation and hospitality in the heart of Auckland city,” said Mr Dickinson.

“Plans are underway for our new spa offering, set to open in 2020, and this will truly take our guest experience to a whole new level of luxury.”

An MGallery by Sofitel property, the original 1920’s Art Deco architecture and interior design within the Hotel Grand Windsor provided the aesthetic foundation for the extensive redevelopment, successfully transforming the property from a three-star to five-star hotel.

Hotel Grand Windsor’s win is a great win for Auckland too and supports many of the goals within ATEED’s Destination AKL 2025 strategy. Providing our visitors with high quality accommodation is a priority for the city in the lead up to 2021, our blockbuster year of global events that will kick off with the prestigious 36th America’s Cup.
