Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) has developed an Auckland-specific tourism investment prospectus to share with contacts who are looking to invest in the region.
The prospectus is a tool to connect project owners with investors who can help them bring their project to life. ATEED will additionally play a role in facilitating introductions and act as a filter between the two parties.
In November 2018, ATEED called out for project owners within the Auckland tourism industry to get in touch if they required support. As a result, 19 projects were shortlisted for the prospectus. They range from new, innovative projects such as dining experiences and historic preservation, to more commonplace projects in the tourism industry such as accommodation ventures and outdoor adventure experiences.
NZTE and Tourism New Zealand already run a national tourism investment programme; however, ATEED’s prospectus benefits from having a programme that is solely focused on developing more tourism products for the Auckland region.
A subsequent call-out for projects will take place later in the year for the next edition of ATEED’s investment prospectus.
