Queens Wharf, on Auckland’s stunning waterfront, is the Auckland hub for the DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017, with live match screenings, free entertainment and family-friendly activities, and food and drink for sale.

Auckland is also hosting free Fanzones across the region. Watch the Test matches live on the big screen and enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment. Catch the action out West on Sat 24 June, South on Sat 1 July and North on Sat 8 July.

Heading to the Test matches at Eden Park? Walk Auckland’s famous Fan Trail from Queens Wharf to Eden Park on Saturday 24 June & Saturday 8 July, from 4pm. The Fan Trail is a 4.2km fun-filled walking route packed with entertainment along the way.

Mix with fellow rugby fans and share the buzz of the Series at the Queens Wharf Fanzone, happening on Auckland’s waterfront from 22 June – 8 July.

Watch the Test matches live on the big screen from 22 June, plus you can enjoy performances, live music, exhibitions, family-friendly activities and there will be food and beverages for sale.

Highlights:

  • Two photographic exhibitions, by New Zealand’s leading rugby photographer Peter Bush, and long-time press photographer Barry Durrant
  • DHL Dome, featuring New Zealand’s staggering array of rugby trophies together in one place, including the Webb Ellis Trophy (the Rugby World Cup) on display from 6 – 8 July.
  • Match screenings will include the three Test matches live, Hurricanes v The British & Irish Lions live, as well as replays of classic matches.

Fan Trail

Auckland’s famous Fan Trail between the waterfront and Eden Park will be up and running for the first and third Test matches of the Series:

  • Saturday 24 June, from 4pm – All Blacks v The British & Irish Lions at Eden Park (match kick-off 7.35pm)
  • Saturday 8 July, from 4pm – All Blacks v The British & Irish Lions at Eden Park (match kick-off 7.35pm)

The Fan Trail is a fun-filled 4.2km walking route stretching from Queens Wharf to Eden Park. It will be packed with live entertainment, lighting displays, fire dancers, street performers, face painting and other fun activities from 4pm, rain or shine.

It will be operating from 4pm on Saturday 24 June and Saturday 8 July. Allow a couple of hours (no less than one hour) to walk from Queens Wharf to Eden Park so you can enjoy the free entertainment and activities along the way.
