09 Soul Sessions is bringing the heat back, giving platform to some of the best local talent with Kiwi sensation Stan Walker.
Stepping up its game, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s Premiere R&B Live Music event is getting bigger and better than ever before, keeping live R&B at the core.
A love letter to the original live music spots that litter our memories with love songs, 09 Soul Sessions hands the mic over to emerging artists whose voices are inspired by that sultry R&B sound. Featuring some of the best vocalists from Aotearoa and beyond, 09 Soul Sessions is a true celebration of sound and love.
First established as a small open mic night in Central Auckland by R&B enthusiasts Crystal Vaega & Jordan River, the 09 Soul Sessions stage has been graced by Adeaze, Sammy Johnson, Stan Walker, Jackson Owens, Melodowns and more.
Now, for Elemental AKL 2023, 09 Soul Sessions returns with more R&B vibes than ever before, sponsored by AWN and hosted by Jordan River. Come along and reminisce to the live bands belting out your favourite nostalgic R&B jams.

The Viaduct Events Centre is a 15-minute walk to the city centre and 13 minutes from Britomart Transport Centre. Paid parking can be found at Jellicoe Street Car Park.

Walking around the Viaduct Basin is a must while in the area. Starting at Viaduct Events Centre, head to the Viaduct (or vice versa) via the Wynyard Crossing Bridge – you'll spot many cyclists, pedestrians and yachts along the way.
