With six performances over three days, Takurua brings Pasifika culture & hospitality to the Viaduct Event Centre, Wynyard Quarter. The vision of Artistic Director Tausani Simei-Papali'i is brought to life by Tala Pasifika Productions and a collective of Pasifika Chefs.Ti'iti Sacred Knowledge breathes life into the ancient legends of one of the Pacific's most revered heroes. Ti'iti -Atalaga, known in Aotearoa as Maui, and celebrated throughout the Pacific as a rebellious trickster who challenged the gods to share their sacred knowledge with the people.

The Viaduct Events Centre is a 15-minute walk to the city centre and 13 minutes from Britomart Transport Centre. Paid parking can be found at Jellicoe Street Car Park.

Walking around the Viaduct Basin is a must while in the area. Starting at Viaduct Events Centre, head to the Viaduct (or vice versa) via the Wynyard Crossing Bridge – you'll spot many cyclists, pedestrians and yachts along the way.
