Ti'iti Sacred Knowledge is a thrilling cultural experience synthesising Pasifika hospitality, theatre, and dance. A sumptuous five-course banquet designed by head chef Wallace Mua Frost, with contemporary Pasifika dance-theatre woven in between courses.Following hot on the heels of last year's sold out Takurua Nafanua War Goddess. A cultural extravaganza combining exquisite fine-dining, thrilling dance theatre, spectacular costumes, and authentic cultural stories brought to life through the riotous comedy of the Samoan fale aitu tradition.
With six performances over three days, Takurua brings Pasifika culture & hospitality to the Viaduct Event Centre, Wynyard Quarter. Overlooking the Waitemata this superb venue is perfect for friends, families, and corporate hospitality.Drawing inspiration from Maori hakari and Pacific Island feasting rituals, Takurua welcomes you to join a celebration of indigenous practices in food preparation, dance, feasting and theatrical story-telling.
The vision of Artistic Director Tausani Simei-Papali'i is brought to life by Tala Pasifika Productions and a collective of Pasifika Chefs.Ti'iti Sacred Knowledge breathes life into the ancient legends of one of the Pacific's most revered heroes. Ti'iti -Atalaga, known in Aotearoa as Maui, and celebrated throughout the Pacific as a rebellious trickster who challenged the gods to share their sacred knowledge with the people.

The Viaduct Events Centre is a 15-minute walk to the city centre and 13 minutes from Britomart Transport Centre. Paid parking can be found at Jellicoe Street Car Park.

Walking around the Viaduct Basin is a must while in the area. Starting at Viaduct Events Centre, head to the Viaduct (or vice versa) via the Wynyard Crossing Bridge – you'll spot many cyclists, pedestrians and yachts along the way.
