Take a 90-minute sailing trip on the New Zealand Maritime Museum’s Heritage vessel, TED ASHBY, with wine and canapés to graze onboard.
TED ASHBY is a ketch-rigged deck scow, typical of the fleet of scows that once operated in northern New Zealand waters between 1873 and 1925. Passengers can help raise the sails, or sit back, relax and enjoy the view looking back at the city lights as the sun sets.
The sailing explores the Waitematā Harbour, heading towards Queens Wharf before sailing under the Harbour Bridge and past West Haven Marina. You’ll have the best view of the Vector Lights show, lighting up the Harbour Bridge to celebrate Elemental AKL.
Guests can sample gourmet canapés featuring local ingredients and local wines (with the first drink included in your ticket).
Bookings essential. Sailing is dependent upon weather and operational conditions. For more detail, click on the Tickets/More Information button above.
