Representing all parts of Auckland’s screen industry by providing advocacy, events and additional support and communication during COVID-19, Film Auckland is a membership organisation open to anyone working in or involved with the local sector.

Auckland Screen Alliance

The region’s association of screen businesses is actively involved in helping its members, and the wider sector, navigate the unchartered territory of COVID-19 taking a community approach to keeping businesses alive.


Promoting health and safety in the screen sector, ScreenSafe is leading the industry’s ongoing response to COVID-19, with a range of practical resources for production and registration on behalf of WorkSafe.

Aotearoa New Zealand

Representing the interests of film and video crew and allied crafts, the guild provides support, information and advocacy for crew as well as information for producers.

Action Group

An industry group formed during the lockdown period of COVID-19 to address the immediate effects of the pandemic on the national screen industry by working cohesively across the sector.

On Screen Sessions

A series of conversations with industry experts to help Auckland screen businesses get through COVID-19, including the outlook for Auckland’s screen sector; health and safety on set in a COVID-19 environment; and business guidance and support.

Managing health and safety requirements during COVID-19

In addition to requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, all filming activity must comply with ScreenSafe’s Health and Safety COVID-19 NZ  Standard and Protocols. Productions will also be required to comply with any specific health and safety requirements or instructions set out in, or issued in conjunction with film permits and Auckland Council bylaws.
