Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei invites Tāmaki Makaurau to whānau-friendly fan zone, Kia Kotahi Race Days at Takaparawhau Bastion Point.

Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, the host iwi for the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada, will host a series of free weekend fan zone events at its ancestral land at Takaparawhau (Bastion Point) throughout the America’s Cup race dates.

Taking place every weekend from midday on March 6,7, 13 & 14th, Takaparawhau is the best viewing location city side to have both views of the Waitematā and a large outdoor screen to make sure none of the live sailing action is missed.

Named Kia Kotahi: Race Days On Takaparawhau, Marama Royal, Chair of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Trust explains, “the events will showcase Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei culturally, creatively, and historically, as well as celebrate the major international sporting event, happening close by in the Waitematā Harbour.”
