Getting to the festival
Mt Smart Stadium is an outdoor events and sports venue located at 2 Beasley Avenue in Penrose. It is easily accessible by foot, bike, car or public transport.
With tens of thousands of people expected to attend the two-day festival, parking restrictions and road closures in place, the surrounding area will be busy, and parking will be in high demand so plan ahead for your travel to and from the event.
Regular bus services operate via Great South Road past the Penrose train station. For specific service times please check using the Auckland Transport Journey Planner.
Normal fares/passes apply for bus services.
Train services on the Onehunga and Southern Line travel to the Person train station, which is in walking distance (approximately 10 – 15mins) to Mt Smart Stadium.
Post Event: You may experience delays between trains when transferring to another line. We recommend checking the timetables and planning your journey to and from event in advance using Auckland Transport Journey Planner.
There is no onsite parking. Parking is available on the streets surrounding Mt Smart Stadium. Please note Beasley Avenue will be closed during the festival.
Local businesses will open their premises for parking during events for a small fee
Park and ride
Park your vehicle for free at Waikaraka Park, Neilson Street, Onehunga then jump on our free shuttle to take you directly to Mt Smart Stadium. This is a half hour service throughout the day.
Mt Smart Stadium is walkable from many locations! Check Google Maps from wherever you plan on parking or where your public transport service ends.
Limited Mobility parking is available at Gate E on Maurice Road – patrons must hold a valid mobility permit. Drop off areas is available at all festival entry gates which are Gate A on Maurice Road, Gate B on O’Rorke Road and Gate C on Beasley Avenue. If you’re travelling by public transport, please check the Auckland Transport Journey Planner to see which route will drop you off closest to Mt Smart Stadium. The festival area will be accessible to everyone with limited mobility.
