🙌 CELEBRATING A MUSICAL LEGEND

Bob Marley inspired reggae music across the Pacific Islands after he performed his only Aotearoa concert at Western Springs Stadium in 1979.

Niuean musical icon Tigilau Ness and his Niuean/Māori son Che Fu attended the concert that day and met Bob Marley. Tigilau’s band, Unity Pacific will be joined by three generations of the Ness family, with Che Fu and his son Loxym delivering a unique reggae sound including a heartfelt tribute to Bob Marley.

Pasifika Festival will also host an exhibition of rare photos of Bob Marley meeting local iwi in 1979.
