Trading in beer, food & quality time. The Bluestone Room Bar & Restaurant is nestled within the superbly restored heritage building in Auckland’s Durham Lane.
From its early history as a 19th Century warehouse, through fame as a jazz club and band venue, it forms an integral link to the Auckland of old.
In contrast to the history of yesteryear, The Bluestone Room presents a very hip atmosphere and makes creative use of vibrant colour and design. The spacious layout of this beautifully renovated venue features polished floorboards, timber ceilings and leather upholstery.
The latest addition to the Monteiths family of craft beer bars, The Bluestone Room has a distinct Kiwi pioneer theme, encompassing state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and lighting to help create a wonderful atmosphere for all occasions.
There are separate areas within the bar that are still within the main restaurant and that can be reserved with groups of up to 15 patrons in ‘Helens Corner’ for dining and groups of up to 60, with an overall capacity of 136.
The regulars are mainly inner-city workers drawn to the hidden-away watering hole near their offices. It has Bitchin Bingo night on the last Tuesday of every month, pub quiz every Wednesday, Dart Night every Thursday and Happy Hour every day. Avoiding the hustle and bustle of pubs on Queen St, The Bluestone Room is definitely worth seeking out in its out-of-the-way location up Durham Lane.
