Romane Duvivier - Study Auckland student ambassador
Romane is studying a Masters in Management (specializing in Human Resources Management) at Massey University.

Kia ora Romane, what do you love about Auckland city?

I love that there is always something to do. Whether you want to learn about history at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, open your mind at the Auckland Art Gallery, or discover new tastes in a restaurant or a café. There are hundreds of options for you.

What kind of new relationships did you make as a student in Auckland?

I made a lot of professional relationships. I’m from another country but it’s in New Zealand that I have the most industry contacts. Lecturers and people in general are very keen on helping you here. Universities usually organise professional events where students can meet managers, learn about different industries and make contacts.

What has been your favourite experience in Auckland?

I had the chance to discover Waiheke Island from a catamaran. I spent 3 days sailing around the island enjoying the nice landscapes and beautiful sunsets.

Also, it’s in Auckland that I have been served the best waffles I ever tasted. If you stop by Auckland one day, make sure you go to OKO Dessert and order the Chocolate Lover Waffles: They are delicious!

Fun fact about yourself?

I’ve lived three years on a sailing boat in New Caledonia.
