Introducing Study Auckland student ambassador Sayan Hirayama from Japan.
Sayan is on exchange studying Law at the University of Auckland.
Kia ora Sayan, what do you love about Auckland city?
We can enjoy both city life and nature in Auckland, which I love the most about this city. Also there are so many good cafes and restaurants.
What kind of new relationships did you make as a student in Auckland?
I made great friends in my University residence and classes.
What has been your favourite experience in Auckland?
I went to Devonport with my friend, which was my favourite experience in Auckland. I was really surprised to visit such a nice place only 10 minutes by ferry.
Fun fact about yourself?
I’ve been doing many kinds of dances for a long time. When I was younger, I learned classic ballet. After I entered Junior High School, I was doing jazz dance. And now, I’m doing hula dance, which is a traditional Hawaiian dance.
