Harrison Grierson’s impact on Auckland’s fast-growing skyline is huge and includes the city’s most recognisable landmark, the Sky Tower.  Its award-winning land development team is one of the largest in New Zealand, providing specialist services in land development, subdivision and infrastructure/civil works. Projects include greenfield developments, retail centres, and education, sports and industrial complexes. Recently, Harrison Grierson used leading-edge 3D laser scanning technology to survey the massive Auckland downtown precinct, paving the way for the new City Rail Link and Commercial Bay development. “Architects designed our office as a flexible working environment,” explains Harrison Grierson’s Marketing and Communications Executive, Kylie Raine. “Technology enables us to move around depending on what we’re doing that day. If we need to work from home, we’re connected to the network. It’s easy!”

Managing Director Glen Cornelius led the company through a cultural transition to become a flexible and inclusive workplace where people feel valued. He says that since introducing flexible working, people are happier and more engaged.

Of Harrison Grierson’s 400-strong team, 36 per cent are female – an industry leading figure. And with 50 per cent of last year’s graduate intake being female, it looks set to increase that figure moving forward.
