Global technology leaders

It brings together leading technology organisations from around the world to deliver a vast suite of services including networking, security, large-scale projects, software development, application modernisation and migration, and hybrid cloud technology.

A focus on leadership and learning

NTT is committed to recognising and nurturing leaders of the future. The company’s human resources coordinator, Danielle Pattenden says, “We focus on leadership by working to identify talent at different stages of their career and develop them through leadership programs such as the NTT Young Leaders’ program, Graduate Forum and Fast Track. Employees on these programs have had the opportunity to travel to destinations such as Tokyo and Madrid as a part of their development.”

All NTT employees also have access to Degreed, an online learning tool that connects users with international learning providers such as Pluralsight, A Cloud Guru and LinkedIn Learning. It allows employees to set personalised goals and focus on developing project-specific skills alongside local and international colleagues.

A career with a view

NTT’s 150-strong Auckland team is based in the stunning Viaduct Harbour, just moments away from Auckland’s best bars, restaurants and cafes.

It’s a great place to get out and about, Danielle explains, “We regularly head out together or invite our customers out for a more casual setting to meetings – it’s a really great vibe here. There are so many bars and restaurants close to us, we regularly head-out for lunch together or go for drinks after work.”

Flexibility encourages diversity

NTT believes that flexible working arrangements foster a more diverse workforce. “Different people have different needs, we don’t want someone thinking they can’t join the organisation just because their commitments don’t follow the traditional nine-to-five schedule,” Danielle says. “It’s good for them but it’s also good for us. We have people working from home, starting later, finishing earlier, working reduced hours. All sorts of arrangements are possible depending on what works for the business and for the employee.”

Inclusive, engaging culture

NTT’s Auckland team enjoy a variety of initiatives throughout the year. From learning common Māori words and phrases during Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - Māori Language Week, to celebrating Chinese New Year and Diwali with a shared lunch or taking part in mindfulness sessions and heading out for a walk in the fresh air for Mental Health Awareness Week. It’s an inclusive, engaging culture that places importance on the whole person, both within and outside the workplace.

Bring your innovative mindset

Right now, NTT has positions available in Auckland for client managers, client delivery managers, technical solutions specialists, network engineers, security engineers, enterprise architects and solutions architects. While technical skills, including cloud, security and networking certifications are essential, NTT recognises the importance of innovative thinking and the ability to adopt a flexible approach to find better solutions.

Team fit is also crucial at NTT. Danielle says, “We’re looking for people who are able to work well with others, so having interpersonal skills is really important. This goes back to how diverse we are. Our team members need to understand that people are different from them and communicate well with people from different backgrounds”.

At NTT you’ll discover global opportunities and challenging work in a stunning harbour location. With a variety of roles available right now, it’s the perfect time to make the smart move to Auckland.
