The tour starts with a drive with expert commentary through the Waikato area with its rich Maori history and stunning farming landscapes.
Join a small group tour of the Ruakuri cave system. This tour is New Zealand’s longest underground walking tour and gets you up close to the Waitomo glowworms as well as stalactites and stalagmites. This caves allows photography and the walkway is designed to allow wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Then re-join your Bush and Beach guide for a walk around the native forested gorge of the Ruakuri valley. A short drive next to the lunch destination in a beautiful location where you have a traditional NZ barbecue buffet lunch.
