Really pretty shop! Tucked away near uni. I got a strawberry danish for 5$ and it was sooooo yum. Definitely will be trying the other pastries in the near future! 4/5 because I wish there were more strawberries to balance out the amount of pastry 🥮
I was so happy when I found out that Daily Bread was opening near my house! I love their matcha and hazelnut croissants and the cheese rolls(so good when you toast them) The staff are always so kind it’s always been a pleasant experience:)
Was excited to try out this bakery since I have never had a chance to visit the pt chev branch (where the goodies are baked for both branches I am told). The Parnell branch is basically a large stylish counter displaying baked goods (mostly sweet with a couple of savoury options - pretzels, cheese twists, cheese buns and bageutte sandwiches) with a shelf behind with a few options of loaves which were around $8-9 for a medium loaf - didn't look like a huge selection. This seems pretty pricey to me, but probably not uncommon in the city. Despite it being a satellite store, the baking is super fresh. I had a cheese twist which was delicious, super crisp and buttery, plus it was big ($3.50) and a berry creme brulee donut - found this a little disappointing as it was just berry cream and I was hoping for a more pudding texture, generous filling though ($5). Counter guy was very friendly and the place looks beautiful :) I think I'll be back! I would be keen to see more savoury options so I could start buying staff morning tea from here.
