This is the Italian Tuscany of Waiheke Island, your perfect place to relax and enjoy Italian inspired food and a refreshing cold Peroni. Salute!

It was a wet day but certainly it was worth a visit down the long dirt road where we had lunch. Nice wine good food and excellent service. A great place to spend a few hours.

Dragged a big group of friends here as heard a lot about this place. Everyone was disappointed, felt bad for bringing friends over. The food is average. The lamb was the best meal on the menu from the mains. Only the manager of the place provided a good service. The waiters were unhappy all the way through, stingy for a smile. Overall, would not drive all the way there for an average food and service. Went to Tantalus after and wished we came here in the first place.

We came here for a special occasion and the long lunch was certainly special. From the booking process all the way through the service was delightful - personable, efficient, professional but relaxed and friendly. It's not the easiest (or cheapest) place to get to but once you're there it feels a world away from Auckland and the typical Waiheke vineyards vibe. You could almost believe you were in Italy. My partner is dairy free so as a result we don't eat much Italian but they handled it without any drama or fuss, always a huge relief especially with a preset menu. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of Italian food but this was wonderful - light, fresh and delicious. The lunch didn't last as long as we expected (it was also on a Saturday due to demand so perhaps that is why), finishing at about 2.30pm almost 2 hours earlier than they advise on the website, however we didn't feel rushed at any point. I would happily go back, in fact we're thinking about making a family tradition of it.

I did not appreciate how far the taxi ride from Oneroa to PC was (a $70 cab ride!!), then out of the darkness along the dirt road the lights of the farmhouse appear around a corner. Poderi has the feel of dining in a Tuscan farmhouse kitchen, the roaring fire, the friendly personal service, but the food was delicious combining a rustic simplicity with fine dining touches. The degustation menu was well balanced, easy paced and very satisfying. The staff even organised our taxi back to town afterwards. I highly recommend eating here, it is a tiny piece of Italy less than an hour from Auckland city

I can't afford to go to Italy now, but you can afford the next best thing. Go to Poderi Crisci in Waiheke. This place will make you feel you are literally in Tuscany in the heart of Italy. The food, the wines, the whole vibe and the venue are the closest you can get to a Luxury Agriturismo in Italy. Highly recommended, believe me... totally worth the ferry and the taxi to Poderi Crisci.

One of the best meals EVER! Degustation menu on a Saturday night was the best option on Waiheke island! Service was outstanding with a bit of humour and not over bearing.... But with great knowledge of the wine and menu! Highlights were the deconstructed traditional Italian salad with eggplant, tomato and buffalo mozzarella, was in love with the Beetroot and ricotta hand made ravioli but the winners were the lamb loin with garlic cream (vampires be ware!) and the apple, pear and rhubarb strudel with homemade vanilla ice cream and orange coulis! It's worth the hike in a taxi and perfect for large groups! #yumyum #podericrisci!

Big family birthday during the Xmas break and we were all very looking forward to coming over to the island for the day and having a long lunch. Place was busy but not overly so (Wed Dec 29). Seated inside next to the kitchen and an enjoyable amount of activity to observe and be part of. This far down the track the mains I cannot recall however the antipasti, breads, olives and oil were the highlight of the entire meal. Nothing stood out of the mains from the six of us. Wines were very disappointing. The house rose was very unbalanced and acidic. The house Pinot Gris had nothing to offer at all. The glass of older house blended red was oxidised; fortunately the house Shiraz was a winner. Service was OK, nothing great. The "Italian" waiter who admitted being a local Maori in particular was an absolute classic. Right down to the fake accent. Brilliant. Decor is getting very tired especially the bathrooms. Location is lovely with the sea further down the valley and scrub in the hills opposite. Overall very disappointed from someone who loves great food and wine and the anticipation of somewhere people have raved about. All seems very in line with their city venture NSP which has the most advertising of any restaurant in the city (because it's crap?). I'd look elsewhere for a great food experience if it has to be on the island.
