Any termination of your registration and right to use online services and this website will not affect any rights or obligations which have accrued prior to termination.

Event Attendance Terms and Conditions

By attending an event organised by Auckland Unlimited you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. 

By entering the event premises, you give your permission to use your image in photography/film for any editorial Auckland Unlimited use in perpetuity for the purpose of promoting Auckland as a destination to live, work, visit, study, invest, do business or hold events, in New Zealand and worldwide. The use extends to all editorial material for Auckland Unlimited or third parties as determined by Auckland Unlimited, including any non-paid media such as newspapers, magazines, blogs, social media, non-commercial presentations or websites.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use of these materials.
 

Consent to Use of Content

We, (Auckland Unlimited, our related companies and people working on our behalf) use user-generated content (and various other content) to advertise a variety of things including products, brands, companies and places. We have reached out to you because we would like to be able to use the photograph, video or other content that we commented on with our reach out message. We need consent from the copyright owner in order to use the content.

By commenting in response to our reach out message in the way that we have requested, you confirm that:

  • You created and own copyright in the photograph, video or other content (Content) that has been commented on by us with a reach out message;
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and worldwide licence to use the Content (and any derivative works) for any marketing or advertising purpose;
  • You consent to us using your Content for any marketing or advertising purpose;
  • We can give permission to others to use your Content for marketing or advertising;
  • All people identifiable in the Content are over 18 years of age and have consented to your creation, posting and use of the Content; and
  • You will not to bring any claim against us in relation to the use or non-use of your Content (or any derivative works), including any claim based on moral rights.

As the copyright owner, you understand and acknowledge that:

Competition Terms and Conditions
  • Auckland Unlimited retain the right to change the Terms and Conditions. If any event/prize is amended/cancelled out of our own control, Auckland Unlimited holds the right to amend/cancel the competition.
  • By entering the draw to win a prize, you are also registering with Auckland Unlimited (Study Auckland) to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. You may unsubscribe from this list at any time.
  • You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to claim the prize.
  • Tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, sold or redeemed for cash.
  • Winners will be chosen randomly and notified by email. If you are a winner but do not claim the prize within a week of notification, tickets will be redrawn.
  • To claim the tickets, you will be asked to present your student ID

Air New Zealand #WakaFest Competition Terms & Conditions

No purchase, entry fee, or payment is necessary to enter this competition.

1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
2. Air New Zealand Limited, Private Bag 92007, Auckland, New Zealand is the promoter of this competition (the Promoter). This competition is not in any way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
3. Entry is open to New Zealand residents 18 years and older who are valid Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter account users and meet their according guidelines.
4. You agree to release Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with your participation in this competition or with any of the prizes offered.

5. Conditions of Entry:
How to Enter:
To enter, as an eligible participant you must be present at the Tāmaki Herenga Waka Festival 31st January 2020 Captain Cooks Wharf on Auckland Waterfront. Five present people over the age 18 years of age will be randomly selected from the audience to compete against one another for two return tickets to Rarotonga.
Entry into the competition is automatic upon publication of a valid post. Participation in the competition is limited to one entry per person. You acknowledge that the Promoter will collect details of your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter profile to the extent necessary to conduct this competition.

1. The Promoter its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.

2. Competition closes at midnight of Friday 31 Jan 2018 (NZT) (the “Competition Period”). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.

3. The winner will be announced directly following the competition. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

4. Prize Return Air New Zealand flights to Rarotonga (economy – The Works) for two. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s Conditions of Carriage, to view visit http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/conditions-of-carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand’s Airpoints™ Programme or any other carriers’ frequent flyer schemes. The winner is solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically included in the prize description above and that are incurred by the winner or their companion, including, without limitation, meals & drinks, alcohol, transport or parking, extra flights, taxes, spending money, activities, personal expenses; travel and health insurance, and any other incidentals. Any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation outside the travel arrangements specified in the Travel Prize details, made by the winner which incur additional costs are to be paid by the Travel Prize winner.

Travel is for 2 adults flying from your nearest Air New Zealand serviced New Zealand domestic airport to Samoa and return. Travel is not permitted to commence from any origin point outside of New Zealand. Only valid using non-stop services between Auckland and Samoa and vice versa. Stopovers or stopovers within transit are not permitted. Prize winners must travel together on the same flights in both directions. Prize is non-transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash and is available on Air New Zealand operated services only. Seats are limited and are subject to availability and travel must be commenced by 31 January 2021. All Airport and government costs are at the traveller's expense. Travel during Public or School Holidays is not permitted. Bookings must be finalised and tickets requested by 1 August 2020. Tickets are non-changeable once issued. Travel is not eligible for any frequent flyer (including Airpoints Dollars) accrual, upgrades, companion redemption or credit of tier status. Special conditions and restrictions apply. 5. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is non-transferable and Air New Zealand terms and conditions apply.

6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.

7. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

8. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition.

9. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this competition shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this competition or with any prizes offered.

10. The Promoter (and not Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the competition. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the competition. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Programme Specific Terms and Conditions
  1. You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to apply to join the “Get Into Nature” Programme.
  2. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message.
  3. Students can only participate once.
  4. Students who are offered a place must respond within three days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student.
  5. There are 30 spaces per day available for the “Get Into Nature” programme. If your preferred date is not available, you may be offered a place on another date.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces for either programme to specific people for reasons other than the application details.
  7. By applying to join the “Get Into Nature” Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time.
  8. This experience is valued at $250 for the experience and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash.
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours’ notice) so the place can be given to another student.
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so.
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day may be blacklisted and not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events.
  12. Although this is a safe activity, there are always risks. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland and Got To Get Out accept no liability for injuries students sustain while attending this programme.
  1. You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to apply to join the Rukuhia Programme.
  2. There are 40 places available on each of the two dates.
  3. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message. 
  4. Students who are offered a place must respond within three days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student. 
  5. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces to specific people for reasons other than the application details. 
  7. By applying to join the Rukuhia Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time. 
  8. This experience is valued at $250 for the day and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash. 
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours notice) so the place can be given to another student. 
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so. 
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day will be blacklisted and will not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events. 
  12. Photos may be taken during the day but not of the back wall of the meeting house.
     
  1. You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to apply to join the Rugby Have a Go Programme.
  2. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message.
  3. Students who are offered a place must respond within two days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student.
  4. There are 400 spaces available for the Rugby Have a Go Programme. If more than 400 students apply, Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants for the Rugby Have a Go Programme based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  5. The Better Leaders Programme can only accept 25 students. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants for The Better Leaders Programme based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces for either programme to specific people for reasons other than the application details.
  7. By applying to join the Rugby Have a Go Programme or the Better Leaders Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time.
  8. This experience is valued at $100 for the two days and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash.
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours’ notice) so the place can be given to another student.
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so.
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day may be blacklisted and not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events.
  12. Although this is a safe, non-contact version of rugby, there are always risks with playing sport. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland and Auckland Rugby accept no liability for injuries students sustain while attending this programme.
