Any termination of your registration and right to use online services and this website will not affect any rights or obligations which have accrued prior to termination.

Event Attendance Terms and Conditions

By attending an event organised by Auckland Unlimited you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. 

By entering the event premises, you give your permission to use your image in photography/film for any editorial Auckland Unlimited use in perpetuity for the purpose of promoting Auckland as a destination to live, work, visit, study, invest, do business or hold events, in New Zealand and worldwide. The use extends to all editorial material for Auckland Unlimited or third parties as determined by Auckland Unlimited, including any non-paid media such as newspapers, magazines, blogs, social media, non-commercial presentations or websites.

By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use of these materials.
 

Consent to Use of Content

We, (Auckland Unlimited, our related companies and people working on our behalf) use user-generated content (and various other content) to advertise a variety of things including products, brands, companies and places. We have reached out to you because we would like to be able to use the photograph, video or other content that we commented on with our reach out message. We need consent from the copyright owner in order to use the content.

By commenting in response to our reach out message in the way that we have requested, you confirm that:

  • You created and own copyright in the photograph, video or other content (Content) that has been commented on by us with a reach out message;
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and worldwide licence to use the Content (and any derivative works) for any marketing or advertising purpose;

Competition Terms and Conditions

Auckland Unlimited Limited (“Auckland Unlimited”) welcomes entries to the Study Auckland L.A.B Instagram Competition (the “Competition”). By entering this Competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions.

A. Competition

  1. To enter, entrants must send a private message to Study Auckland’s Instagram competition profile, with an emoji that best describes them at a concert.              
  2. The Competition commences on 18 March 2021 at 9:00 and ends on 24 March 2021 at 23:59. Entries received after this time will not be accepted. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by Auckland Unlimited of the Instagram competition post and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant. Late, misdirected, illegal, incomplete or illegible entries are invalid. Auckland Unlimited is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
  3. Every entrant warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
  4. Entry is only open to people living in New Zealand currently.

 

B. Entries, selection and Prizes draw

  1. Entrants can only enter the competition once.
  2. The winner of the Prize for the Competition (Prize Winner) will be drawn on 25 March 2021 and the Prize Winner will be announced and notified by Instagram message, no later than two days after the competition has ended.
  3. The Prize Winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries.
  4. If the Prize Winner does not contact Auckland Unlimited within 24 hours of the announcement of the Prize Winner, or if for any reason a Prize Winner’s entrant details are incorrect, or a Prize Winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours of the Prize draw Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to draw another winner.
  5. If the Prize Winner accepts the Prize, the Prize-win and terms and conditions acceptance will be documented in an email to that Prize Winner.
  6. If the Prize Winner declines the Prize, the Prize is immediately forfeited and Auckland Unlimited will confirm with the entrant by Instagram message.  Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to redraw the winner.
  7. The Prize will be awarded to the holder of the Instagram user account (or that person's parent/guardian if the Prize Winner is under 18 and the nature of the Prize requires the Prize Winner to be over 18 years of age) from which that Prize entry was submitted. Auckland Unlimited takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using a Instagram account belonging to any other person.
  8. Auckland Unlimited’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

C. Prize

  1. The Prize consists of 2 tickets to L.A.B live in concert at Mount Smart Stadium on Saturday 27 March 2021.                      
  2. The Prize is subject to Auckland Unlimited and L.A B terms and conditions.
  3. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service, is not transferable to any other person and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  4. If the Prize or part of the Prize becomes unavailable (for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to general travel restrictions, earthquakes, storms, landslides, fire, outbreaks of war, acts of terrorism or hostility, strikes, lock-outs, pandemics, initiation of the COVID-19 Alert Level System by the New Zealand Government to Alert Level 2 or above, protests, and acts of God), Auckland Unlimited reserves in its sole discretion, the right to either amend the Prize, including providing the Prize Winner with a substitute Prize, either in full or in part, at the same, higher or less value, or to cancel the Prize and/or the Competition in its entirety at any time.

D. Privacy

  1. Entry into this Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. Once the Prize Winner has accepted their Prize and the associated terms and conditions, their First and Last Names will be promoted on, but not limited to, Auckland Unlimited Communications, Email Newsletters, Media and social media including Facebook and Instagram for the purposes of promoting the Prize and/or Auckland Unlimited.
  3. The Prize Winner consents to participate and co-operate as required in all promotional activities relating to the Competition and Prize including but not limited to being filmed and photographed during the redemption of the Prize for use on Auckland Unlimited’s social media channels and other Auckland Unlimited promotional channels.
  4. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, Auckland Unlimited collects personal information.  Auckland Unlimited holds personal information to conduct the Competition, notify the Prize Winner, verify the Prize Winner’s' identity and may be used by Auckland Unlimited, for future promotional activities. Individuals have the right to access and request correction of their personal information held Auckland Unlimited by calling (09) 365 0500. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.

E. Exclusions

  1. Employees (and such employees' immediate families) of Auckland Unlimited, Auckland Council or any of the Auckland Council Controlled Organisations and agencies associated with the Competition or Prize; and anyone not a resident of New Zealand at the time of the Prize draw are not entitled to enter this Competition.
  2. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to exclude any entrant from participating in the Competition in its sole discretion.  Auckland Unlimited also reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize to an entrant who is in breach of these terms and conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or won the Prize by using fraudulent means.
  3. Auckland Unlimited is not liable for any loss, damage or injury (including and without limitation any indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the Competition or Prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  4. This Competition is organised by Auckland Unlimited. By participating in this Competition, you acknowledge that L.A.B holds no liability in respect of the organisation and management of this Competition.

Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions, and to modify, terminate or reschedule the Competition at any time, for any reason whatsoever, including in the event of a COVID-19 resurgence, initiation of the Alert Level System or best practice advice from the New Zealand Government, including if the Competition is not terminated or rescheduled to substitute the Prize for a Prize of the same, higher or lesser value.
  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

 
  • Auckland Unlimited retain the right to change the Terms and Conditions. If any event/prize is amended/cancelled out of our own control, Auckland Unlimited hold the right to amend/cancel the competition.
  • Entry is open to anyone except employees of Auckland Unlimited and their immediate families.
  • The prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged, on sold or redeemed for cash.
  • Entries will be counted by following the instructions on the competition Facebook post to be in to win the prize.
  • Winners must make contact by private message with their details within 24 hours or the competition will be redrawn.
  • Auckland Unlimited retain the right to change the event/prize dates, where necessary.

Air New Zealand #WakaFest Competition Terms & Conditions

No purchase, entry fee, or payment is necessary to enter this competition.

1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
2. Air New Zealand Limited, Private Bag 92007, Auckland, New Zealand is the promoter of this competition (the Promoter). This competition is not in any way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
3. Entry is open to New Zealand residents 18 years and older who are valid Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter account users and meet their according guidelines.
4. You agree to release Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with your participation in this competition or with any of the prizes offered.

How to Enter:
To enter, as an eligible participant you must be present at the Tāmaki Herenga Waka Festival 31st January 2020 Captain Cooks Wharf on Auckland Waterfront. Five present people over the age 18 years of age will be randomly selected from the audience to compete against one another for two return tickets to Rarotonga.
Entry into the competition is automatic upon publication of a valid post. Participation in the competition is limited to one entry per person. You acknowledge that the Promoter will collect details of your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter profile to the extent necessary to conduct this competition.

1. The Promoter its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.

2. Competition closes at midnight of Friday 31 Jan 2018 (NZT) (the “Competition Period”). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.

3. The winner will be announced directly following the competition. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

4. Prize Return Air New Zealand flights to Rarotonga (economy – The Works) for two. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s Conditions of Carriage, to view visit http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/conditions-of-carriage. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. Auckland Unlimited Limited (“Auckland Unlimited”) welcomes entries to the Best Dressed Auckland Business Competition (the “Competition”). By entering this Competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions: 

The Prize  

  • The winning business will receive a food and beverage package to the value of $1,000, for up to 10 employees of the winning business, at the Waterbourne Beach Festival rooftop bar on Wednesday 10 March 2021 from 4:00pm – 8:30pm (the “Prize”).   
  • All 10 employees of the winning business must be over 18 years old as at 10 March 2021. 
  • The Prize is also subject to Waterbourne Beach Festival rooftop bar’s terms and conditions. 

Entry 

  • Entry is only open to businesses operating in the Auckland region. 
  • To enter, businesses must send photos of their decorations to ac36activations@aucklandnz.com There are no restrictions around industry or type of business; however, dressing must take place at a business address of some kind. This can be an office, warehouse, restaurant, hotel, or other similar set up. Home offices or residential entries will not be considered. 
  • Decorations must in some way reflect the America’s Cup, yachting, sailing or the competing teams and must not breach the Major Event Management Act (MEMA), which outlines restricted words and emblems.  
  • Entries which do not relate to the America’s Cup, yachting, sailing or the competing teams or which breach the MEMA will not be considered.  
  • Only one entry per business will be counted. Multiple entries will not be counted.  
  • Every entrant warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions. 
  • Auckland Unlimited retains the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion.  
  • If the Prize or part of the Prize becomes unavailable (for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to general travel restrictions, earthquakes, storms, landslides, fire, outbreaks of war, acts of terrorism or hostility, strikes, lock-outs, pandemics, protests, and acts of God), Auckland Unlimited reserves in its sole discretion, the right to either amend the Prize, including providing the Prize Winner with a substitute Prize, either in full or in part, at the same, higher or less value, or to cancel the Prize and/or the Competition in its entirety at any time.

Entries received by Auckland Unlimited after this time will not be accepted.  All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by Auckland Unlimited of the photo of the decorations and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant.   Auckland Unlimited will not be responsible for any invalid or late entries due to error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.   
  • Five finalists will be chosen by the Auckland Unlimited project team and evaluated according to creativity, relatedness, and impact. Mayor Phil Goff will then select the winner on Friday 5 March 2021.   
  • If you are a winner but do not respond within three days of notification or if the Prize winner’s entrant details are incorrect then Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to draw another winner.  
  • If the prize winner accepts the Prize, the Prize-win and terms and conditions acceptance will be documented in an email to that Prize winner.  
  • If the prize winner declines the Prize, the Prize is forfeit and Auckland Unlimited will confirm with the entrant in an email. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to redraw the winner.  
  • The Prize will be awarded to the holder of the email address from which that Prize entry was submitted. Auckland Unlimited takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using an email address belonging to another person.  
  • Entry into this Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.

If the Prize Winner does not contact Auckland Unlimited within 48 hours of the announcement of the Prize Winner, or if for any reason a Prize Winner’s entrant details are incorrect, or a Prize Winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours of the Prize draw Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to draw another winner.
  5. If the Prize Winner accepts the Prize, the Prize-win and terms and conditions acceptance will be documented in an email to that Prize Winner.
  6. If the Prize Winner declines the Prize, the Prize is immediately forfeited and Auckland Unlimited will confirm with the entrant by Facebook message. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to redraw the winner.
  7. The Prize will be awarded to the holder of the Instagram user account (or that person's parent/guardian if the Prize Winner is under 18 and the nature of the Prize requires the Prize Winner to be over 18 years of age) from which that Prize entry was submitted. Auckland Unlimited takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using a Facebook account belonging to any other person.
  8. Auckland Unlimited’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

C. Prize

  1. The Prize consists of 2 tickets to Weta Workshop Unleashed in Auckland.
  2. The Prize is subject to Auckland Unlimited and Weta Workshop Unleashed terms and conditions.
  3. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service, is not transferable to any other person and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  4. If the Prize or part of the Prize becomes unavailable (for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to general travel restrictions, earthquakes, storms, landslides, fire, outbreaks of war, acts of terrorism or hostility, strikes, lock-outs, pandemics, protests, and acts of God), Auckland Unlimited reserves in its sole discretion, the right to either amend the Prize, including providing the Prize Winner with a substitute Prize, either in full or in part, at the same, higher or less value, or to cancel the Prize and/or the Competition in its entirety at any time.

D. Privacy

  1. Entry into this Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. Once the Prize Winner has accepted their Prize and the associated terms and conditions, their First and Last Names will be promoted on, but not limited to, Auckland Unlimited Communications, Email Newsletters, Media and social media including Facebook, Instagram for the purposes of promoting the Prize and/or Auckland Unlimited.
  3. The Prize Winner consents to participate and co-operate as required in all promotional activities relating to the Competition and Prize including but not limited to being filmed and photographed during the redemption of the Prize for use on Auckland Unlimited’s social media channels and other Auckland Unlimited promotional channels.
  4. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, Auckland Unlimited collects personal information. Auckland Unlimited holds personal information to conduct the Competition, notify the Prize Winner, verify the Prize Winner’s' identity and may be used by Auckland Unlimited, for future promotional activities. Individuals have the right to access and request correction of their personal information held Auckland Unlimited by calling (09) 365 0500. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid. Please see Auckland Unlimited’s privacy policy for further information.

E. Exclusions

  1. Employees (and such employees' immediate families) of Auckland Unlimited, Auckland Council or any of the Auckland Council Controlled Organisations and agencies associated with the Competition or Prize; anyone not a resident of New Zealand at the time of the Prize draw.
  2. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to exclude any entrant from participating in the Competition in its sole discretion. Auckland Unlimited also reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize to an entrant who is in breach of these terms and conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating in the Competition or won the Prize by using fraudulent means.
  3. Auckland Unlimited is not liable for any loss, damage or injury (including and without limitation any indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the Competition or Prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  4. This Competition is in partnership between Weta Workshop Unleashed and Auckland Unlimited. By participating in this Competition, you acknowledge that Auckland Unlimited holds no liability in respect of the organisation and management of this Competition.
  5. Auckland Unlimited reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions, and to modify, terminate or reschedule the Competition at any time, for any reason whatsoever, including in the event of a COVID-19 resurgence, initiation of the Alert Level System or best practice advice from the New Zealand Government, including if the Competition is not terminated or rescheduled to substitute the Prize for a Prize of the same, higher or lesser value.
  6. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
Programme Specific Terms and Conditions
  1. You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to apply to join the “Get Into Nature” Programme.
  2. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message.
  3. Students can only participate once.
  4. Students who are offered a place must respond within three days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student.
  5. There are 30 spaces per day available for the “Get Into Nature” programme. If your preferred date is not available, you may be offered a place on another date.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces for either programme to specific people for reasons other than the application details.
  7. By applying to join the “Get Into Nature” Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time.
  8. This experience is valued at $250 for the experience and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash.
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours’ notice) so the place can be given to another student.
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so.
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day may be blacklisted and not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events.
  12. Although this is a safe activity, there are always risks. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland and Got To Get Out accept no liability for injuries students sustain while attending this programme.
  1. You must be an international student currently studying in Auckland to apply to join the Rukuhia Programme.
  2. There are 40 places available on each of the two dates.
  3. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message. 
  4. Students who are offered a place must respond within three days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student. 
  5. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces to specific people for reasons other than the application details. 
  7. By applying to join the Rukuhia Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time. 
  8. This experience is valued at $250 for the day and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash. 
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours notice) so the place can be given to another student. 
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so. 
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day will be blacklisted and will not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events. 
  12. Photos may be taken during the day but not of the back wall of the meeting house.

  2. Those who are chosen to participate will be notified by email and may also be sent a text message.
  3. Students who are offered a place must respond within two days to accept this invitation or it may be given to another student.
  4. There are 400 spaces available for the Rugby Have a Go Programme. If more than 400 students apply, Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants for the Rugby Have a Go Programme based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  5. The Better Leaders Programme can only accept 25 students. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland will select participants for The Better Leaders Programme based on application details given, with the most weight given to the question of why they would like to join the programme.
  6. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland reserves the right to allocate some spaces for either programme to specific people for reasons other than the application details.
  7. By applying to join the Rugby Have a Go Programme or the Better Leaders Programme, students are also registering with Study Auckland to receive information relevant to international students studying in Auckland. It is possible to unsubscribe from this list at any time.
  8. This experience is valued at $100 for the two days and is being offered free to a limited number of students during the trial phase. It is not redeemable for cash.
  9. If anyone has committed to attending but finds they cannot attend, they must notify Study Auckland immediately (minimum of 48 hours’ notice) so the place can be given to another student.
  10. Participants may not pass on their place to another student without contacting Study Auckland to ask permission to do so.
  11. Anyone who fails to give enough warning of cancellation or does not turn up on the day may be blacklisted and not be able to participate in any future Study Auckland events.
  12. Although this is a safe, non-contact version of rugby, there are always risks with playing sport. Auckland Unlimited – Study Auckland and Auckland Rugby accept no liability for injuries students sustain while attending this programme.
