What is Elemental AKL?
This is the third year of Elemental AKL, a festival of arts, eats and beats across Auckland region. Elemental AKL is delivered by Auckland Unlimited, Auckland’s economic and cultural agency.
From 14 July to 1 August 2021, festivalgoers can experience art, food, music, and activities as Elemental AKL events transform eateries and bars, theatres and public spaces across Auckland into hubs of exciting experiences.
From high-end ticketed experiences to free events, the line-up features enlightening, surprising, thought-provoking, nourishing and unique experiences to feast your eyes, feed your mind and fill your heart.
Where is Elemental AKL held?
There are events taking place at public spaces, venues, eateries and more, across the Auckland region. From Matakana Village to Mangere, Waiheke Island to Onehunga.
What events are on during Elemental AKL?
When does Elemental AKL start and finish?
Elemental AKL takes place from 14 July - 1 August 2021 with a range of events occurring at different times and venues throughout the festival.
Is Elemental AKL family friendly?
Most of the events are not devised with children in mind but some are most definitely designed for all ages. Use the ‘Family Friendly’ filter on the search page to determine where the kids will be catered for and which events are restricted access with a focus on older festival-goers. Individual event listings will also include these details.
How do I buy tickets?
The event-listing page will provide a link to purchase tickets to specific events, as required. There are also free events available during the festival which will not require tickets or registration to attend.
What about the weather?
Most events will take place rain or shine, but do be sure to plan for all weather, to ensure you have fun regardless of the elements. In the event of severe weather, look at the event organiser’s Facebook event page for updates, cancellations or date-changes.
Where should I stay during the festival?
There are so many amazing accommodation options at all price point in Auckland. Whether you're staying city central, in Matakana, on Waiheke Island, in the South, East, North or West, there are many options to choose from. See here for advice on where to stay.
Where is the lost property?
Elemental AKL is made up of events put on by a range of different organisers. The organisers will look after lost property for their specific event so it is best to get in touch with them directly using the information on their website/booking page. Alternatively, you can contact email@example.com.
What's the best transport to and from the events?
See the event listings for detail on the best way to get to your event, including accessible parking options. Where possible we encourage you to use public transport. use Journey Planner to find the quickest route to your event.
As an Auckland Transport initiative, supported by the NZ Police, there will be free buses and trains after 9pm for the duration of the festival, 14 July - 1 August 2021. You can find out more here.
