Dumplings spinach goat cheese

I can't look past the dumplings every time I go to Otto. The dumplings are crispy on the outside, yet perfectly gooey and oozing with cheese on the inside. The spinach and goats cheese complement each other perfectly. The dumplings are exquisitely caramelised and served with this unreal crispy sage which adds a beautiful crunch and herby note. It's the type of dish that you want to lick the plate clean and the one that leaves everyone craving more. I think the dumplings and Otto itself encapsulate perfectly the Italian/Kiwi fusion dining which has emerged in Auckland the last 10-15 years. Italian that is not just pasta and pizza and offers great variety in its menu. They also make the most of local produce and the menu is adapted in line with the seasons. The dishes on  offer at Otto are so well priced, with the most expensive item being $22. Overall, I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who didn't love Otto and who didn't love these dumplings. Paired with the beautiful wine list it's a winner!
