Celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse at BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival 2026. This will be held at the Manukau Sports Bowl from 26 February - 01 March.

What’s new for the 2026 Festival?


We’re excited to introduce the Lantern Marketplace. A vibrant new space that will bring together all retail, craft, and information stallholders under one roof inside the Tennis Dome. This dedicated marketplace will offer festivalgoers a unique opportunity to browse, shop, and connect with community organisations and local artisans in a lively, interactive environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Food stalls
  • Food charitable stalls (must have charitable trust status)
  • Food trucks
  • Retail stalls
  • Information stalls (community organisations and businesses promoting services)
  • Craft artisan stalls (local crafts and handmade products)


Stalls showcasing locally produced products that celebrate the Lantern Festival, highlight Chinese culture, and support the Chinese community will be prioritised.

Food Stallholders Retail Stallholders

Applications close on Sunday 14 December 2025. Successful applicants will be advised on Friday 19 December 2025.

Need to Know Stallholder Information

Stalls will operate over four nights between 4:00pm and 10:30pm.

All sales must be fulfilled by 10:30pm (no exceptions). Stallholders must not operate outside these times.

The stall categories open for BNZ Auckland Lantern Festival 2026 are:

  • Food stalls
  • Food charitable stalls (must have charitable trust status)
  • Food trucks
  • Retail stalls
  • Information stalls (community organisations and businesses promoting services)
  • Craft artisan stalls (local crafts and handmade products)

Stalls selling locally produced products that celebrate Lantern Festival, showcase Chinese culture and are in support of the Chinese community will be favoured.
