Waiheke Island’s Matiatia coastal walkway will once again be transformed into an extraordinary outdoor gallery for Sculpture on the Gulf 2024. Only a 40 minute ferry ride from Auckland CBD, get ready to go into the hearts and minds of some of our most exciting contemporary artists.

Perpetual Guardian Sculpture on the Gulf celebrates its 20th anniversary from 24 February to 24 March 2024.
 
This world-renowned outdoor sculpture exhibition has been a unique contribution to the cultural life of Aotearoa since 2003 and will continue the conversation between sculpture and site through multiple works. Explore a 2-kilometre exhibition on the Matiatia coastal walkway encountering ambitious sculptures against a backdrop of expansive vistas of the Hauraki Gulf.
 
There will also be smaller works exhibited by featured artists at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery.
 
Waiheke is a 40-minute ferry trip from Auckland. It has vineyards, world-class hospitality, pristine beaches, and scenery that feeds the soul. Book ahead to eat, play and stay on this island paradise over a few days.

Exhibition entry: $20 pp. Sculpture shuttle bus $10 per adult. Free for children under 14
