Southern Cross Round the Bays invites you to join the movement! For 52 years people of all ages and fitness stages have brought colour, fun and movement to Auckland’s Tāmaki Drive.
This iconic annual event follows an 8.4km course starting in the city, along the eastern bays and finishing in stunning St Heliers Bay. How you move is up to you – run it, walk it, skip it, jog it, groove it! Make it matter by fundraising for our official 2024 Charity Partner Live Ocean, or a cause close to your heart.
Don’t forget to dress up in our 2024 theme, Wai - meaning water in te reo Māori. Be entertained, be inspired and be part of the movement!

St Heliers is 16-30 minutes from the city centre by car and accessible by bus.
Local tip He tīwhiri mō te rohe
When the tide is low, walk along the cliffs to Ladies Bay for a secluded beach at the mouth of the Tāmaki Estuary.
