Experience contemporary and traditional Indian culture in Auckland; watch live performances, taste an array of Indian delicacies – all vegetarian, browse small local retailers, or try your hand at rangoli art or henna.  This is a no alcohol and smoke-free, family-friendly festival.

Getting here

We encourage the use of public transport or alternatives like e-scooter, ride shares (taxi), cycling and walking, where possible.


There are regular bus services to and from the city from locations across Auckland. Final services are generally between 11pm and 12am (midnight).

If you are driving to the festival, please consider there may be queues on arrival and departure at nearby parking buildings during peak times of the festival. We recommend the use of park & ride facilities around Auckland.

There are regular train services to Britomart Train Station, located at the bottom of Queen Street, a 15 to 20 minute walk to Aotea Square.

On Sunday 9th October, the festival will close with a spectacular fireworks display from the Aotea Centre rooftop.

Experience the largest vegetarian festival in New Zealand with an array of food vendors offering mouth-watering Indian dishes including Pakora (pictured), Pav Bhaji, and Kulfi.
