Our much-loved biennial exhibition is back!
From 4 - 27 March 2022, Matiatia Coastal Walkway will once again be transformed into an artscape like no other for Sculpture on the Gulf 2022. Sculpture on the Gulf might only be 35 minutes by ferry from Auckland, but it aims to take us much further – into the hearts and minds of our most outstanding artists.
Gather your people and get ready to walk, play, connect, reflect. Enjoy! PLUS….this 2022 event has an expanded event footprint, which will include artworks in the Oneroa Artworks precinct, a small works sculpture exhibition and more…..
Experience 31 sculptures by New Zealand artists along a stunning two-kilometre coastal walkway and sculpture trail, then on to the Waiheke Community Art Gallery, where artists will be presenting their maquettes and small works. The event footprint has been expanded to Wild Estate where James Wright has a number of works on display including a new one for SOTG 2022.
Dynamic and provocative, adventurous and surprising, witty and innovative – there’s always something for everyone. Waiheke Island is a spectacular destination to visit at any time of year, but particularly in late summer. With so many wonderful experiences and hospitality options on offer, why not stay a night or two?
Walk. Play. Connect. Reflect. Enjoy.
