This place is an absolute hidden gem! Came here with my family + baby bub. They have a highchair so it's a family friendly restaurant. Ordered the Gun Mandu (fried dumplings) & Jeyuk Deopbap (rice topped with spicy chicken or pork). The dumplings were AMAZING! They look homemade, definitely taste homemade too. So crunchy and juicy inside. The Jeyuk Deopbap was ok, not spicy enough in my opinion, but maybe it is spicy for some. Plenty of side dishes to share amongst 2 adults and 1 baby. The food tastes really homemade, you can feel the love made into the food. Service is super quick and friendly. Love, love, love the family-owned feel to the restaurant. Will definitely keep coming back and spread the word!
After checking that the dumplings are all handmade on site, we ordered their deep fried and steamed meat dumplings and they were generously packed with meat. The dumpling pastry is on the thin side. We’ve tried their kimchi stew, bibimbap, Rice with beef stew, braised spicy cutlassfish, dumpling soup (very very big!) and gamjatang. It felt like a homemade Korean dinner and tasted as if they didn’t use much artificial ingredients, which is great! We went in on a weekend for lunch, and it seemed to be a popular place in Northcote central. Friendly and excellent service. The place is spacious with heaps of tables, and you can help yourself to water and hot tea.
