Beautiful decor. The cordis has the most beautifully luxe atmosphere- the high tea here is spectacular- I would highly recommend with girlfriends and to bring your mum and/or grandma- it’s a real “treat” quite literally and figuratively. Pictured here is a wee late night platter and wine ordered after an event in the ballroom.
The venue is amazing and we had a large group for high tea. Very quick service but we were quite let down with the food as we paid $75 per person and you get three trays. Top one of desserts which were very tasty (different but tasty) the middle we only got a small square of a ham sandwich and another of a cucumber sandwich. I would’ve thought for that price you would receive a sandwich with something better as a filling then cucumber only and ham and butter only. The bottom were very gourmet but most we did not eat as you need to Aquire the taste. Artichoke surprise tasted like an eyeball and had the texture of what an eye ball would be as well lol beautiful ambience though and very helpful and friendly staff
Went in for High Tea. Service was exceptional! They have an extensive list of tea and you can also get some coffee if you get sick of the tea. It was quiet so they let us stay a little bit longer. You could really tell each food was carefully hand picked to be listed on the menu. I enjoyed the savoury bites more than the sweet slices, especially the small smashed egg on sliced bread – this was surprisingly delicious. The date scone was nice too (not shown on the photo as this is served on a separate tray). The sweet slices were OK, but the ice-block looking sorbet was really divine. I recommend grabbing a couple of friends to sit and relax to experience this great valued High Tea experience.
