Frankies, Auckland CBD

I was really excited to finally try this place. I've walked past here so many times but never got the chance to try. I was a little disappointed in the choice I made lol. I got the Spanish which was a a chorizo hot dog that was presented on a wooden board with sides. Compared to the other meals that were being brought out, mine looked small in comparison. The sausage was a bit dry for me and I couldn't finish the bread roll/baguette it was served in. That was too dry for me too. I will definitely come back here and try the other items they have on their menu. I love sausages and I like the sides they have to offer as well. It was just a pity what I selected wasn't the best in my opinion.

As I slowly work my way through the restaurants at Elliot St stables I tried Frankies last night. I had the 'Frankie' which comprised an English banger with red cabbage, sauce, bun and fries. It was super tasty I definitely recommend!

Eating with friends, we couldn't go past The Frankie for a treat that also has a healthy feel to it. Served in a roll the 'banger' had lots of flavour, and came with a red cabbage, and also mustard & tomato sauce. Chips come on the side too. Sausages are a specialty but I've heard the schnitzel is good too so I'm keen to try that next time.
